Tammy Jackson ’02
Tammy Jackson is a visual artist, creating, living, and working in Portland, Maine. She grew up in the small town of Hancock, New Hampshire and graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from the Maine College of Art & Design in Portland, Maine, 2002. Since graduation, she has continued her craft and has exhibited at MECA&D’s annual Collect art sales. Tammy’s ceramic work has been included in Lark Books publications 500 Teapots, and 500 Raku. Harmonious color combinations are seen in her ceramic work and paintings, echoing the colors of nature. She paints the beauty around her, of the Maine coast from sandy, rocky beaches to dramatic cloudscapes above the ocean and city. Tammy enjoys spending time in nature with her family, visiting beaches, mountains, and lighthouses.
