This edition of photogravures was printed at Bleu Acier, Inc. in Tampa Florida by Erika Greenberg-Schneider. Bleu Acier is a limited edition fine art print publisher and collaborative workshop, After living and working in Paris, France for 20 years, Master Printer Erika Greenberg-Schneider established Bleu Acier in 2003 in Tampa, Florida. The atelier specializes in Intaglio, Photogravure, Stone Lithography, Relief and Monotype. In 2011, Erika was Knighted by the French Government as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres for the work she does promoting French Artists and Culture.
My process to create the print began with a collage of black and white photographs of sculptures from my archive. The collage was then scanned at size to create a very large digital file that was transferred and etched into a copper plate that was then used as the master plate. I worked in the Bleu Acier studio with Ms. Schneider to produce the edition in 2006. We printed 10 in blue and 10 in black, on 22-1/2″ x 30″ Arches 100% rag paper.
