Tabitha Barnard ’16
Tabitha Barnard is a photographer living and working in Portland Maine. She is deeply inspired by the themes of ritual, religion, femininity, and fantasy. Through her work, she aims to capture the complexities of these ideas and explore the ways in which they intersect. Using her sisters as her primary models, and the landscape of rural Maine as the backdrop, she creates a sense of intimacy and familiarity, while also examining the broader themes that exist within the feminine experience. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the Maine College of Art & Design in the Spring of 2016 and her Master’s degree in Fine Art Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the Spring of 2021.
