Rachel Suzanne Monegue ’19

Rachel Monegue is a photographer who works in analog, using strictly black and white film to create silver gelatin prints. She graduated from the Maine College of Art, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography in the spring of 2019. Monegues current body of work is analyzing her relationship with her current partner after the traumatic loss of a previous one. She is exploring themes of love and death, grief and ecstasy, and how these contradictory emotions culminate into her current partnership and life. Monegue is unveiling the drastically different histories and traumas each person carries into a relationship, and the repercussions they can have.
