Oliver ’19
Oliver (b.1995, Hong Kong) is a research-based artist and writer working and living in Portland, Maine. They will be an MA candidate of Visual Critical Studies in School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Fall 2020. They attended the Academy of Visual Arts in Hong Kong Baptist University and Maine College of Art. They have published writings, performed, and exhibited their works in both Hong Kong and New England. By receiving the Professional Development and Entrepreneurship Grand Award in 2018, they were able to continue to develop their ongoing project, The Museum and The Museum Gift Shop (2016-). In 2019, they were a resident at Hewnoaks Artists Colony. Their writings critique fringe science institutions and address the relationships between curatorial methods, queerness, truth values among ufology.
