Michael Connor
Michael Connor has been an assistant professor in MECA’s Illustration Department since 2010. Though these days he focuses on pen & ink drawing and cartooning, intuitive and surrealist practices with collage and material responses continue to inform the content of his work, This stems from work earlier in his practice, in which the content is more directly bound with collage and paint, and repurposing even earlier works. These pieces have very present narratives, though more implied than the more explicit narratives of his comics illustration.
