Kerrin Parkinson
Kerrin Parkinson is an multidisciplinary artist living in South Portland, Maine. Her focus is on fine art painting, illustration and murals. In all of Kerrin’s work, she attempts to reflect her concerns about the preservation of environment, mental health and equality. Kerrin’s fine art paintings are based on observation and color exploration. These works are influenced by her own mood and experiences in the places that she paints. Kerrin loves seeing the first light of day and many of her paintings capture these sunrise adventures. She will often revisit the same locations at different times of the year to study the atmospheric changes at first light along the coast. The air temperature, movement of the water, shifting light and colors of the changing seasons all impact her fine art paintings. Kerrin loves exploring color and technique. This is evident in the textural, layering process of many of her artworks.
