Justine Lasdin MAT ’19

Justine Lasdin, a mixed-media painter from Portland, Maine, draws inspiration from diverse landscapes to explore light and form in nature. Her artistic journey began in high school at San Francisco’s Academy of Art, leading to further studies in metals and drawing at California College of Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts from Humboldt State University. After a career in visual design and raising a child, she pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching from Maine College of Art and Design. Justine now balances teaching with her art practice, creating works that capture the essence of place. Her art, found in private collections across the U.S., invites viewers to experience nature’s beauty through vibrant lines, shapes, and colors.
