Justine Lasdin MAT ’19
I am a mixed-media painter residing in Portland, Maine. My passion for art was discovered during my high school years at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. This led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at Humboldt State University where I focused on painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture. After a career in visual design and raising a child, I went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Teaching from MECA&D in 2019. Currently, I balance teaching grades 6-8 while exploring the diverse landscapes of Maine for inspiration in my artwork. Through my creative process, I aim to invite the viewer to share the experience of the outdoors using expressive lines, textures, and colors.
