Judith Schneider MFA ’14
Judy Schneider is a painter and printmaker living in Norway, Maine. She received her Master’s degree in Studio Art from MECA in 2014. The Maine landscape persists as a critical part of her art practice. Her work is always about the woods and water, its ever-changing light, its colors, its relationship to us humans, and by extension, our relationships to each other. She’s interested in the physical properties of her surroundings and how they interface with the feelings she has when she is there. She is in pursuit of what is physically present, woven with memory, dreams, and how the energy of “place” is conveyed. Judy prints at the Peregrine Press in Portland and has a studio in her home.
