Jude Valentine ’78

A long time resident of Maine, Jude completed her BFA at the Maine College of Art and MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has received numerous grants and awards for her work, including a Jerome Foundation Fellowship and an Individual Grant Award from the Council of Creative Arts, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She has been the recipient of a number of residencies at the Vermont Studio Center; Stephen Pace House, Stonington, Maine; as visiting printmaker at St. Michael’s Printshop in Newfoundland; resident fellow at the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation, Great Cranberry Isle; resident artist at the Joseph Fiore Art Center at Rolling Acres Farm / Maine Farmland Trust, Jefferson, Maine. In 2018, she participated in the Monhegan Artists’ Residency program. She also participated at the international EMMA Collaboration in Saskatoon in 2018. She teaches remotely through the University of Maine, Machias, where she is an adjunct associate professor in the Interdisciplinary Fine Arts program.
