Betsy Scheintaub

Betsy Scheintaub is a garment designer, fiber artist, and business owner. She has a BFA in Fiber Arts and ten years experience working in costumes for opera, ballet, and theater. As an independent designer, she has designed garments for production as well as a line of handbags and accessories under the label Bobbin. As an adjunct professor in the Textile and Fashion Design department, Betsy focuses on teaching an appreciation of materials, fine craftsmanship, and an exploration of design techniques. An experienced milliner, she loves the process of creating three-dimensional structure and using unconventional materials.
