Jenny Scheu

My paintings and prints layer exuberant color and meticulous line on fine papers. New colors are revealed where hues of transparent and opaque water media are added to and subtracted from the paint surface. The monoprints start on the press with an inked collagraph plate, then are handworked with inks, pencils or chine colle. I am learning new techniques for layering color with charcoal, graphite and collage on gessoed paper.
