In Sort Out series I try to cement the images from my dreams which resemble veiwing a damaged and skipping movie projection. This dream film appears as a mish-mash of sounds and images which I cannot make sense of. I fold form dimensional lines into copper sheet and trim the edges to shape my “canvas.” I apply liquid and sifted enamels to build up five or more layers of color. Each color is fired in a kiln at 1400 degrees before the next layer is added. The surface is etched and hand sanded to a smooth matte finish.
