Sharon Lee Hart ’04

Sharon Lee Hart is an artist, mother, and professor. Her photo-based work reflects on the interconnectivity of the natural world, humans, and non-human animals. The photographs shown here are from her series, According to the Sky, a mediation on the sea. Hart’s work has been exhibited throughout the US and internationally, most recently in a solo exhibition in Joshua Tree National Park. Hart maintains an active studio in South Florida, where she is an Associate Professor of Art at Florida Atlantic University. She is working on converting her artistic practice to a more sustainable one by exploring non-toxic and plant-based photo processes and integrating them into the routines of parenting, gardening, and everyday life.
