Margaret Leonard ’82
Composition, color relationships, light, form and energy have always played a big part in my inspiration to make paintings, collage and experiment with constructions. Because of its’ directness and connection with the natural energy of a place, the process of plein air painting has been a big part of my career which has spanned nearly 50 years. Most recently, I have been drawn to vehicles as subject matter. I like how they can contribute to a the energy of a painting- both literally and metaphorically.
Throughout my process, I find that following my intuition plays the biggest part.
