Lori Austill ’85

Art making has always been at the center of Lori’s life. Art school, supportive family and friends propelled her into 40 years of painting. Lori’s process is a challenging but wonderful conversation between herself and the creation occurring before her eyes. Being present in the moment is required and that is a beautiful thing. Human connections to each other and our planet, the natural world in all its splendors, music and dance are her ongoing inspirations. She hopes her work creates a deeper caring for our planet, and perhaps gives some joy that inspires the viewer’s desire to live even more fully… whatever that might mean for each person.
