Meg Hahn ’17

Meg Hahn is a painter and arts worker in Portland, ME. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Dunes, Zero Station, Perimeter Gallery, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, SOIL, and Collar Works, among others. She has attended residencies at Surf Point Foundation, The Golden Foundation Residency Program, The Vermont Studio Center, Hewnoaks Artist Colony, and the Monhegan Artists’ Residency. Meg’s paintings are based on observations from her surroundings and the materiality of paint. She is drawn to the formal qualities found in pattern, shape, and light, which are then constructed through color and form. Over the last few years, she’s been especially interested in architecture and windows and how they relate to abstraction, painting, and the grid.
