DESCRIPTION OF MY WORK: My artistic journey began with a major in Fine Arts at Albion College in Albion, Michigan. After moving to Maine, I took a variety of classes at MECA&D. The most memorable were drawing, both landscape and figure, and sculpture. During that time I had an opportunity to take a course in encaustic at R&F Handmade Paints in Kingston, New York. Much of my recent work is in encaustic on wood panels, and began as drawings of landscapes and buildings. These particular pieces helped me to refine and improve my use of encaustic.
