Louisa Wickard
Louisa Wickard is an artist and teacher who lives in Cumberland, Maine. Her art education began as a child growing up on Monhegan Island. Other formative influences include pattern studies with fiber artist Robert Semple, color lessons with painter Lynne Drexler, art history and religion studies at Bowdoin College, a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship focused on the work of printmaker Ando Hiroshige, and a year of study with a calligraphy master in Kyoto, Japan.
