London Dupere

London Dupere is a ceramic artist and educator from Newbury, New
Hampshire.  She earned her BFA in Ceramics at Maine College of Art in 2008, and completed a Post-Baccalaureate program in Ceramics at Indiana University in 2015.  While she continues to produce work in her home studio, she has also been a resident artist at The Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and most recently, The International Ceramics Studio in Kecskémet, Hungary.   London’s sculptures intend to seduce and delight the viewer, through both the language of ceramic, and the deployment of an extensive mixed-media vocabulary.  The organic, gender-playful forms and embellished surfaces are a tribute to obsession, excess, and luxury. In addition to several solo exhibitions, her work has appeared in group exhibitions in both New England and the Midwest, and is held in both private and public collections.
