John P. Gardiner ’07 MFA ’14

John P. Gardiner is an Assistant Professor of Woodworking and Design at Maine College of Art & Design. He is an alum of both their BFA and MFA programs. John creates work that ranges from purely sculptural to the functional. Through the combination of traditional and digital fabrication techniques his work investigates the intersection of Art, Craft, Technology, Science and Science Fiction. The unknown future of the human race, as well as their asymbiotic relationship with planet Earth, are often at the conceptual core of his work.
