
Celeste Roberge ’79
Celeste Roberge is a sculptor maintaining a studio in South Portland. She is Professor Emerita, University of Florida where she was Head of Sculpture for 22 years. She attended Radcliffe Institute, Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, Skowhegan School, Portland School of Art, and University of Maine. She has received numerous awards, most recently a residency with The Arctic Circle, traveling in the Svalbard archipelago for 3 weeks in 2019. Her most recent Maine exhibitions were at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, Corey Daniels Gallery in Wells, George Marshall Store Gallery in York, Cove St. Arts and PhoPa Gallery in Portland. Her primary sculptural medium is seaweed and wax. She is a member of the Maine Seaweed Council.
