Addison de Lisle ’11

Addison de Lisle earned his BFA in Metalsmithing at the Maine College of Art in 2011. He apprenticed in traditional blacksmithing with Wilson Forge from 2012-2014. In 2014 he was awarded a year-long fellowship at the Fondation de Coubertin in France. Following this program he enrolled at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and received his MFA in 2018. de Lisle taught blacksmithing at a private college from 2018-2021, where he contributed to major renovations to the studio and developed courses for ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking and design. He has also taught at many craft centers and exhibits nationally and internationally. Currently he works as Programs Director at Pocosin Art School of Fine Craft in Columbia, North Carolina.
