Ann Monkhern

I have always lived by the ocean. I moved to Maine in the early 70s, and began my painting practice mid-life by attending various classes at MECA in the evenings after work. Several years later, I made an exciting pivot from the practice of law to fine art, and I’ve loved every step of the way. The Maine coast has been my enduring muse, with its beauty and mystery providing constant inspiration and challenge.
