Anne Niles

I am a painter and draw inspiration from the Maine coast and the mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. I am drawn to bold colors and strive to capture a striking interplay of colors and patterns in the landscape. It is a fascinating challenge to try and create the friction or harmony of a particular moment. I work with acrylics, and I paint using a combination of sketches from the field, photographs and memory.
